2 dozen clams (on half shell)
1/4 cup butter
4 slices bacon, diced
1/2 chopped green pepper
1 stalk celery, chopped
2 med. onions, chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 canned pimento, chopped
1/2 cup dry white wine
1 T. Worchestershire sauce
paprika
bread crumbs (Contadina™ Seasoned)
Parmesan cheese, grated
parsley
1/2 teaspoon thyme
salt and pepper



Fry bacon until crisp; set aside for later. Melt butter, add celery, green pepper, onions and season with salt and pepper. Add crushed garlic, pimento, parsley, thyme and Worchestershire sauce. Saute vegetables until tender, but not browned. Then add the wine and simmer. Spread the mixture on the clams on the half shell.

Top with the bacon and cheese. Put under broiler for 3-5 minutes. Serve immediately.
