40 medium clams
10 slices of bread, cubed
4 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup milk

Grind clams. Add the bread cubes, eggs, pepper, three quarters of the melted butter
and milk. Mix well. Brush wash clam shells with remaining butter.
Put clam mixture into the shells and sprinkle with bread crumbs; dab with some butter.
Bake at 350° for about 20 minutes. Makes around 16.
