1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup toasted bread crumbs
1 cup cracker crumbs
salt, freshly ground black pepper
2 cups minced clams
2 T. finely minced onion
2 T. finely minced parsley
1/3 cup cream

Melt 1/2 cup of butter and mix with the bread and cracker crumbs. Add salt and pepper to taste, and a dash of paprika. Set aside 1/3 cup of this mixture for the top crust of the casserole. With the remaining 2/3 of the mixture, add the clams, onions, and parsley.

Pour the mixture into a well-buttered baking dish and top with the remaining crumb mixture (that was set aside previously). Dab with additional butter pads and pour the cream all over. Bake in a 375° oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
